Topic:  Multimedia & Digital Interventions to Promote Self Efficacy in Acute Care Settings

Speaker: Lilian Wang, OT, OTD, OTR

Objectives

  1. Participants will identify the key components and impact that hospitalization has on patient mental health.
  2. Participants will identify strategies that increase patient wellbeing and self management that can be carried over outside of occupational therapy sessions.
  3. Participants will develop skills to implement client-centered interventions that promote self-efficacy to support patient mental health in their own practice.

Focus

This presentation is ideal for occupational therapy practitioners across inpatient settings but is also applicable to practitioners in community settings. The multimedia interventions shared will be free to access and generalizable across various patient populations.

Bio

Lilian is an occupational therapist working across several different mental health based settings in the Greater Boston area. Formerly, she was an emergency medical technician and has since integrated her experiences to inform her current occupational therapy practice. Lilian is passionate about the intersections of physical and mental health, increasing accessibility, and finding creative ways to engage patients and clients. When not working, you can find her spending time with loved ones, trying new hobbies, exploring new coffee shops, and engaging in her favorite occupation: sleep.
