Title: State Policy Across the Country: Compact, Mental Health and More!

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Describe at least 3 current state policy issues from various states across the US.
  2. Explain key issues affecting OT practice and education in the state of Massachusetts.
  3. Describe action steps to advocate for state legislation currently in Committee.

Bio/Focus: Mary O’Donnell, Co-Government Relations Representative for MAOT and Co-Chair of the MAOT Advocacy SIG, will present an overview of current state policy issues facing state associations across the country. Key insights from the AOTA State Policy Symposium from AOTA INSPIRE 2024 will be shared.
