Topic: Join us for a 30-minute presentation and discussion with Suzy Eppling, OT, MSOT, on Tic and related disorders and therapeutic treatment with Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) treatment. Suzy Eppling is an occupational therapist specializing in tic disorders and body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRB). Suzy also has prior experience in private and public schools, as well as a vision rehab clinic, and in the homes of people with visual impairments.
This will be followed by a continuation of the February topic of Postsecondary Transition Planning. Come with comments, resources, and questions.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

Describe the potential role of occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) with clients with Tic disorders

Discuss CBIT treatment for Tic disorders

Continue the discussion on the potential role of occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) in preparing students for a successful transition to adult life.

Discuss and share Postsecondary Transition Planning (PSTP) experiences and resources as a school-based occupational therapy practitioner
The meeting includes Introductions, Announcements, and discussions. We will also discuss future topics and ideas
Cost: Free to MAOT members. Non-members $10.00 each, $5.00 for students. MAOT membership forms will be available at the meeting or can be downloaded from this website. $5.00 for practitioners from other state associations.
